Blue Water Satellite
Blue Water Satellite devised an algorithm technology that processes digital photographic
data to identify areas where harmful cyanobacteria will bloom in bodies of water. Early detection of these bacteria enables localized treatment, helping to protect human and animal health. Launch assisted the company in securing a technology license for commercialization from Bowling Green State University. The company has since received an Ignite! Development Grant from the RGP’s Rocket Ventures program. Blue Water Satellite entered the marketplace, having achieved $250,000 in capitalization and several purchase orders.

CeutiCare
Dr. Ken Bachmann founded CeutiCare, LLC in November of 2006 to bring to market a revolutionary new concept in medication therapy management. As a retired Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology from the University of Toledo, Dr. Bachmann saw the need to bring patients with chronic conditions like diabetes to their therapeutic goal faster. This system provides proprietary software (algorithms) and pharmacists, employed by CeutiCare, to become an extension of a primary care physician to more effectively determine their patient’s individual selection of drugs and dosing.
Dr. Bachmann, however, lacked the business know-how to get this concept off the ground and into the market. The Launch team, along with Dr. Bachmann and his partner Alan Nichols, devised a business plan and milestones that outlined a path to commercialization. In the process, Launch introduced them to professionals who became CeutiCare’s banker, insurance provider, business attorney, and intellectual property attorney. Launch also contracted with Savage & Associates for investment mentoring, provided free office and conference room space at the Regional Growth Partnership, and oversaw the development of the proprietary algorithm that is the cornerstone of the CeutiCare business model.
With a developed business plan, protected IP, and several interested customers, Launch partnered with Rocket Ventures, who awarded CeutiCare an Ignite! Grant for $50,000 and is conducting due diligence for possible investment. Today, CeutiCare has placed a CEO at the helm of the business, has a world-class advisory board and is actively fundraising.

Seavival
Brian Freidman, President of Seavival, LLC needed to establish product validity and proof of concept for their patented emergency first response kit to successfully launch his new product. Seavival, LLC, a new entrepreneurial venture, needed to establish proper contacts with purchasing authorities. They also d did not have the financial wherewithal to fund its staffing needs to conduct beta testing with a creditable luminary. In addition, Seavival, LLC needed skilled managerial oversight to successfully guide the product from prototype to marketable product.
Launch provided Seavival, LLC with resources which enabled the firm to conduct a beta test with the Toledo Fire Department, and placed an intern focused on sales and marketing projects, a tradeshow exhibition, and a US General Service Administration (GSA) proposal. A Client Services Manager also provided extensive management supervision to coordinate projects and direction for product development. Seavival LLC, enjoyed product validation with endorsement by the TFD, GSA securitization, as well as internal document and procedure development during their tenure with Launch. These activities contributed to sales revenue, exposure to long term government contracts and full-time employment post internship, which will contribute to long term market sustainability for Seavival, LLC.

Radar Medical Systems, LLC
Jack Diamond, CEO Radar Medical Systems, LLC needed to establish a strategic sales initiative to launch their medical Critical Test Results Management (CTRM) solution.  Radar Medical, LLC, a new entrepreneurial venture, required additional assistance to institute a customer relationship management (CRM) system and develop their first sale of the product. Mr. Diamond noted the need to add a highly structured sales effort to set the groundwork for future success and to accelerate the distribution of his CTRM solution.
Launch provided Radar Medical Systems with resources which enabled them to develop and adopt a CRM system and placed an intern to facilitate initial sales efforts of the product. The sales intern established contact with over 100 clients through the CRM system and set up individual demonstrations and 30 day trial periods of the product, leading to new sales of the system and contributing to long term marketable success for Radar Medical Systems.
